Diamond Platnumz is closing the year 2023 with a bang as he cements his name in the MTV EMA Awards wall of fame once again.
The 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards, popularly referred to as MTV EMA Awards, were planned to take place on 5 November 2023 at the Paris Nord Villepinte in Paris, France.
However, the ceremony was canceled on 19 October due to the ongoing 2023 Israel/Hamas war, becoming the first EMAs to be canceled in its history.
On Sunday November 5, 2023, organizers behind the event shared the full list of winners on the day that the awards show was slated to take place.
Taylor Swift won three awards – Best Video, Best Artist and Best Live. The singer has had a fabulous 2023 thanks to her Eras Tour and the release of her rerecorded albums.
She also received two nominations for Best Song for Anti-Hero and Best Pop Artist.
Nicki Minaj, nominated for three total awards, won two, including Best Hip Hop Artist and Best US Act.
Diamond Platnumz scooped Best African Act. The Tanzanian singer had been pitted against Burna Boy, Asake, Libianca and Tyler ICU.
