Ziiki Media, a company that offers digital distribution of musicians’ songs, has denied claims that have been going on for a long time that Diamond Platnumz has shares in the company.
Speaking at a press conference in Tanzania on Wednesday afternoon, Ziiki explained that the rumor is misleading because Diamond, like other artistes, is contracted with Ziiki for help in the distribution of his music works.
“Diamond Platnumz does not have any shares in our company Ziiki Media. I pray that after today there will not any conversation about this. In our company, there is a founder named Arun Nagar. He is the founder and CEO of our company. And the investment has been made by Werner Music Global and they are the only ones with shares in Ziiki, but Diamond is an artiste under Ziiki,” the spokesperson said.
The company added that Diamond started his music career about 15 years ago and Ziiki was the one who distributed his music on digital markets.
“When Diamond started his career, he started with Ziiki, so Ziiki was helping him distribute his music, so we have had a relationship with Diamond since he started, that’s probably why people say Diamond has shares in Ziiki, he has no shares at all,” the spokesperson clarified.
Apart from Diamond, Ziiki Media also denied Harmonize’s claim that the company and WCB Wasafi stole his money for distributing his music.
It will be remembered that Harmonize declared war with Ziiki saying that since he left Wasafi, his biggest song ever ‘Kwangwaru’ has never received income because it was going into the pockets of some people despite the fact that he terminated the WCB contract, he paid for everything including the rights to his songs.
