Diamond Platnumz officially named the hip hop star Darassa as the king of rap music in Tanzania.
This is after the artiste Darassa posted a video teaser of his new song on his Instagram page.
It should be noted that for about a year, Darassa remained silent without releasing any music. But a few months ago he returned by releasing three songs at once.
In the trailer, Darassa wrote that he was about to cause major destruction.
“NIKO STOO NAFUTA FUTA SILAHA ZANGU ZA MAANGAMIZI ,” Darassa said in the video.
However, a big conversation started after Diamond acknowledged the rapper’s feat through the comment as he recognised him as the king of rap in Tanzania.
Diamond posted a crown on Darassa’s post.
It should be remembered a few weeks ago when Tanzania was marking the 10th death anniversary of rap legend Albert Ngwair, many pointed out that since his death no other rap artiste has had the determination to fill his gap despite the fact that there is an influx of artistes of that style.
Until his death in 2013, Ngwair had released many rap songs and many fans feel that no other artist has appeared to quench their thirst for rap music.
