Africa’s finest Burna Boy, Davido and Diamond Platnumz for the first time performed at the same concert at the Afronations concert in Detroit in the United States.
The concert was held last weekend and brought together stars including Diamond Platnumz, Davido, Burna Boy, PSquare, Mr Flavor and many others.
After the concert was over, the basketball team in the state of Michigan found in the area of Detroit known as the Detroit Pistons recognized the stars by giving them their jerseys to four artistes – Davido, Burna Boy, Diamond Platnumz. Lennox and Letto.
The NBA jerseys were all printed with the names of the artists. Diamond’s jersey was printed with his nickname ‘Simba’
The Instagram page of the NBA team uploaded pictures of the artists who were given jerseys and said that they thought it was good to recognize them by giving them gifts to remember the concert.
“Afronations came to our city and we made sure that we must have some memorable moments for some of the guests,” they wrote.
The artists went to perform when their colleague Wizkid, who was expected to attend the concert, suffered the tragedy of his mother’s death.
Burna Boy and Davido while at the concert, sent their condolence messages to Wizkid consoling him that they are praying for him during the period he is going through when weney the biggest fog.
Wizkid’s mother died on Friday night and it was said that it was a big blow to Wizkid who always mentioned his mother as an important pillar not only in his life but also in his musical journey.
