Young Africans Sports Club, commonly referred as Yanga, is planning to have Diamond, Alikiba, Harmonize to do a collabo for the football team.
The club’s representatives spoke about the collabo during this year’s Wananchi Week – a week organized to celebrate the Yanga team.
An official from the club said they are planning to unite Diamond Platnumz, Alikiba and Harmonize who are all diehard fans of Yanga.
The team’s information officer Ali Kamwe is giving plans for the week in a video that has been circulating online.
Ali Kamwe said that they will succeed in bringing together Diamond, whom they managed to grab from Simba last month, along with Yanga’s long time fans Alikiba and Harmonize to work on a collabo for Yanga.
“Tutapata burudani ya wasanii bora kabisa barani Afrika kwenye wiki ya wananchi. Sasa wakiuliza, kwa hiyo mtawaunganisha wote kwenye jukwaa moja? Ndio! Wote amabo mnawajua ni wasanii wa Yanga watapanda kwenye jukwaa moja kwa heshima ya Klabu yetu. Na watawapa burudani siku hiyo,” Ali Kamwe said.
“Kama kuna mtu alikuwa kwenye lebo Fulani akatoka, atakutana na bosi wake siku hiyo. Na wataimba. Hivo tunafanya mpango waimbe wimbo wa Yanga wote. Eeh piga chorus, verse namba moja namba mbili, piga kibwagizo … wote! Huyu anaweza akaanza Yoh… huyu mwingine akaanza [kukohoa].. yaani tunawachanganya wote,” he added.
Some felt that Kamwe’s words were just hot air noting it is hard to the three artistes to work together given their history while others were optimistic that the trio will finally bury the hatchet on Wananchi week.
Diamond has a longstanding beef with Alikiba. He also fell out with Harmonize following his dramatic exit from Wasafi in 2019.
However, the Wasafi boss raised eyebrows early this year when he posted Alikiba’s song.
