Death is not something fun to write about unless it is a mbuzi that has been chinjad for a bash. The story that is just breaking is that two students from Lokichoggio Secondary School had a disagreement. One student is a Kenyan citizen from Turkana and another is Toposa from South Sudan( Turkana speaking).
The two communities are at war. Now back to the two students. Both were suspended with the Toposa heading home and came back with his crew. What happened next is horrible. Reportedly 7 students are confirmed dead, 18 injured and 4 critically injured.
At the moment, the Kenya Red Cross has 2 ambulances on site with 2 from the county government and one form a local NGO. The injured were being taken to Kakuma and Lodwar. The 4 critically injured will need to be evacuated from Kakuma.
This is really messed up. Things like this should end up with the two belligerents fighting it out and the battle ends. But… Here is some of the information from Twitter, however, it should be noted that the information has not been verified:
