DCI sleuths arrest DJ Moh Spice, find him in possession of Steyr pistol and 174 rounds of ammunition

A viral photo of Nicholas Mugo Mwangi alias DJ Moh Spice with a pistol tucked under his belt is what landed him a date with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The photo was taken when DJ Moh Spice was attending his brother’s birthday party. Kenyans on social media expressed their concerns after seeing a gun tucked under DJ Moh Spice’s belt in the photo.

Detectives from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit (SCPU) arrested DJ Moh Spice on Wednesday night August 14th following public outcry.

DJ Moh Spice was arrested at Space Lounge Club along Ngong Road. Making the arrest announcement on social media, DCI revealed that the DJ Moh Spice was found in possession of a Steyr pistol and 174 rounds of ammunition.

“Following Public outcry of a #DJ displaying a Firearm in public, @DCI_Kenya Detectives from #SCPU last night arrested Mr. Nicholas Mugo MWANGI at #SpaceLounge Club, Ngong Rd. A Steyr Pistol & 174 rounds of Ammunitions confiscated. He’s in our custody helping with investigations,” DCI tweeted.
