When it comes to beauty, Jadore Thembi real name Thembakazi Matroshe does not come short of that, she’s an absolute angel before anyone who sees her and she’s confident in her skin and loves herself as anyone should especially in this Instagram era.
Jadore Thembi is currently signed under Faith Nketsi’s Feline Management which scouts female talent to empower and build them through their social media. Jadore is not like any typical beautiful angel, she’s a curator and art is her first love but loves to refer to herself as a re-curator professionally.
“In contemporary art, the title “curator” identifies a person who selects and often interprets works of art in an art gallery or a museum. Curating to me means framing works of art through the use of space, to speak to the present time. I prefer to call myself a “re-curator” because I believe that much of our generations responsibility in this post colonial moment is to do justice to the erasure and silencing that our African stories have become subject to. In a sense, Curatorship is story telling.” Jadore Thembi explained earlier on her lengthy post on Instagram why she calls herself a “Re-curator”.
Apart from being a positivity magnet, a re-curator and a goddess in her own right, Jadore usually takes time to inspire women through her Instagram account.
“I’m so grateful for the wonderful messages of encouragement and affirmation that many of you have sent me in the past few days.” she posted in part in recent positivity post she shared on the gram. “It’s a real disappointment to see how our society berates women for simply being. My #bodypositivity stems from the experiences of being shamed that I’ve chosen to overcome.” she continued.
Being as beautiful as she is, it is almost impossible to believe that Jadore has experienced Cyberbullying in the past and that’s why she felt the need to stand up and speak for herself and for other women, like I said, she’s a positivity magnet that always sees the best in people no matter what.
“After the consistent cyber bullying that I’ve experienced, I have felt an urgent need to stand up for myself and other women who silently bear this load.” Jadore Thembi went on in her post. “It has been a great honour that my confidence inspires some of you. In all honesty, my inspiration and motivation is doing what I do I for the young girls and women who feel erased in the archives of our society. The ones who are not represented by mainstream media. ” she continued in the touching yet emotional post.
“That’s why I deliberately choose to be visible, in an effort to subvert the silencing and erasure that those akin to me have experienced.” she explained why she will always emerge victorious atop of all the negative energy-oriented persons who want to put her down, and that’s something that she won’t ever agree to.
Seeing how positive Jadore Thembi is and how she is fixated in changing how the society looks at women by berating them, she has always been speaking for the young girls who don’t have a voice of their own, we celebrate her today for being the Eye Candy not only for the day but for the week.
