The way Country Boy has represented Tanzania as a rapping nation deserves all the accreditation he can get. Tanzania as a country is predominantly known for the most popular genre of music, which is Bongo Flava.
Granted, the country has established rappers like Mwana FA, Joh Makini, Nay Wa Mitego, Professor Jay, Mr Blue, Rosa Ree and Fid Q on their backyard but Country Boy is coming with a new feel of rap that’s finessing everyone to enjoy the Tanzanian rap scene even more.
Whether you know who Country Boy is as an artiste, you can’t help but stream his music once you get to listen to any of his music and his recent project dubbed ‘Yule Boy’ is bound to turn doubters to ultimate fans who will defend the artiste’s honor if need be without failure.
The only reason you probably don’t know how Country Boy is talented in the East African rap scene might simply be because you haven’t heard any of his songs or exposed to Swahili rap.
When you get to listen to any of his song/s by chance, that’s it, you become an instant fan just like that! and his ‘Yule Boy’ album does nothing but amplifies that fact seamlessly.
On the ‘Yule Boy’ project that Country Boy recently put out, it kind of reminds you of the ultimate, power rap debut album dubbed ‘Thank Da King’ that was released by KiD X back in 2018.
Just like in ‘Thank Da King’ project, the ‘Yule Boy’ project has enough tracks to be in two CDs with the only difference being that Country Boy’s album has more songs than that of KiD X.
Country Boy’s album ‘Yule Boy’ has 30 tracks while KiD X’s album has 26 tracks which were both curated to tell a rather unique story through rap.
If there’s anything we can take from Country Boy’s putting out this project is that he is really a hard-working person who yearns for nothing but the best and he’s not shy and/or afraid to put in work when it’s needed.
Check out the official tracklist on the ‘Yule Boy’ album as presented and released by Country Boy.
