‘CORD!Accuse Police of Extrajudicial Killings And I Will Withdraw Your Security’

Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has warned Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leaders against accusing police of extra-judicial killings, saying that they risk losing their security detail if they express such sentiments.

Addressing the public at Oloodokilani in Kajiado West, the CS stated that is imprudent for leaders to disparage the police force, yet they rely on the same officers for protection.

“You are repeatedly abusing the police saying they cannot be trusted, yet a police officer stands behind you. You want to be a leader; will you then disband the police force when you take office?” Nkaissery asked.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery says,’should the leaders continue to discredit the police force, he will withdraw their VIP security detail.’

Following the death of prominent businessman Jacob Juma, a section of Opposition leaders have pointed accusatory fingers at the police and other state agencies.
