She is the curvaceous advocate of the High Court better known for her jet-setting lifestyle and fitness empire than for Sunday school, but Corazon Kwamboka has stunned fans by returning to the pews for the first time in over a decade.
The socialite and influencer took her children, Taiyari and Koko Kiarie, to the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Nairobi on Sunday, February 1, 2026—breaking a hiatus she estimates has lasted between 12 and 15 years.
However, any hopes that the “Gen Z Jesus” fever sweeping Nairobi had reached the socialite were quickly dashed.
Taking to Instagram, Kwamboka revealed she wasn’t there for her own salvation, but rather as a “parental duty” to ensure her children have a buffet of beliefs to choose from.
“Guys I went to church today, after a very long time,” she told her followers in a candid video.

“The reason why I went is because I want them to have the right to choose whether they want to follow Christianity, Islam, or they want to be non-religious, atheists, whatever.”
Kwamboka, who has been openly irreligious for the better part of her adult life, explained that she wants her children to “experience everything” while they are young so they can make an informed choice when they grow up.
Despite her lack of faith, she admitted she found the service at Emmanuel Baptist “palatable,” praising the church for sticking to the gospel rather than the “excessive preaching and singing” she claims defines many modern Kenyan ministries.
The socialite’s limit was tested, however, when the service reached the Holy Communion. Unwilling to participate in a ritual she does not believe in, the “Marked” actress and social media star made a swift exit from the sanctuary.
“I had gotten to a point where I had decided that religion isn’t going to be the centre of my life,” she admitted, though she softened the blow by adding that her “door is not completely closed.”

While many fans praised her for her “progressive” approach to parenting, others in the deeply religious nation have questioned the logic of exposing children to a faith the parent doesn’t personally endorse.
The move comes just weeks after Corazon criticized the “Jesus-like worship” of visiting YouTube star IShowSpeed in Nairobi, proving that while she may be back in church, she hasn’t lost her bite.
For now, the socialite says she will continue to “drop the kids off” and sit through the sermons—even if she’s just there for the “logical gospel” and the chance to give her kids a head start on their own spiritual journey.
