Ciru Muriuki’s open letter to president Uhuru after he bought youngest MP a Prado

Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi, who until August 8th was a broke student at Chuka University, is the new owner of a Toyota Prado courtesy of Uhuru Kenyatta.

The president’s decision to buy the Prado for the youngest MP sparked excitement on social media as Kenyans hailed Uhuru for the kind gesture.

The Trend panelist Ciru Muriuki has since written an open letter to the head of state begging him to buy her a car. Ciru said she would appreciate even a Vitz as gift from Uhuru.

Below is the letter Ciru wrote:

Dear President Kenyatta,

Pia mimi nataka gari. It doesn’t have to be a prado even. Nitapeleka prado wapi? What will I fuel it with? Unless there is a prado that accepts O positive blood.

I too am an independent candidate. I mean, sina sponzaa. The meagre accomplishments I have, I got them on my own. Nothing to do with a boss who was also my boyfriend. Never ever. My periods of prosperity and of poverty are all up to me and God. Kama hio si independence sijui independent woman candidate ni nani.

Me nataka tu kavitz. Even though some will say that driving a Vitz is now illegal thanks to the plastic ban, I don’t mind. I will drive that presidential gift with pride.

If you want to know more, catch me tonight on The Trend, which I will be hosting like a true independent candidate.
