A few days ago, Blogger Robert Alai took to Twitter to expose comedian and radio presenter, Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill hasn’t paid some if not all of the comedians who work for him on his show, Churchill Show.
Most netizens took the news with a pinch of salt but now they might take heed to Robert Alai’s tweets after he shared more details through a source that they haven’t been paid yet.
A comedian who is on Churchill Show’s camp who chose to remain anonymous decided to contact Robert Alai via his DM that it’s true they haven’t been paid.
Not only were they not paid but they have also been directed to defend Churchill online to say different from what netizens currently know.

“Hello Sir, am a comedian at Churchill Show, I decided to use this account to hide my identity.” the DM the anonymous inside-mole comedian wrote to Robert Alai read in part, “Kusema Ukweli hatujalipwa bado. Even after you posted that exposé bado hatuoni hopes za kulipwa.”
“We have been directed to defend him online but vitu kwa ground ni different.” the DM read on.
The comedian who nobody knows who he/she really is, also went on to reveal that out of all the comedians who are currently on Churchill Show’s payroll, eighty percent of the comedians who haven’t been paid are those who allegedly have smaller brands.
The mole went on to say that most of the comedians have been thrown out of their houses due to lack of paying rent stressing that depression might kill the comedians one by one if no action is taken immediately.
“80% of the affected comedians are the ones with smaller brands so ata wakiongea hawaskilizwi.” Robert Alai’s Twitter DM that he shared the screenshot of went on, “Alai wasanii wanaumia vibaya. Wengi wamefungiwa hao. Depression will kill them one by one if nothing is done.”
The comedian also used two interesting hash tags to drive his/her point home; “Churchill Show Is Scam” and “Lipa Comedians”.
Revered comedian and the much-referred Godfather of comedy and standup comedy in Kenya, Daniel “Churchill” Ndambuki responded subtly via scripture from the Bible verse (John 8:32) tweeting; “One day, you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free,”
