Abel Mutua, aka Mkurugenzi, announced the death of his brother Raphael Mbuvi Musyoka aka Rapho on December 28, 2023.
The actor shared the news on social media without revealing the cause of death.
He posted a photo of a police Land Cruiser packed at a petrol station and said the vehicle was carrying his brother’s body.
Police are mandated to collect bodies in instances where crime has occurred.
“In this truck lies the lifeless body of a once vibrant young man whose life has been tragically cut short at the tender age of 23. Rest in Peace my brother. We tried our best but I guess our best wasn’t good enough. Round 2 Brathe. 🕊️🕊️🕊️,” Abel Mutua wrote.
On Monday January 1, 2023, Abel Mutua’s other brother Jesse Mwethuku aka Luku Baridi revealed that their younger brother Rapho had committed suicide.
In a statement on Instagram, Jesse reprimanded Rapho for taking his own life.
fJesse wondered why Rapho had killed himself at a time when they had made it in life having suffered in poverty together.
“Waah Rapho walai my G in your nxt life..usiwaipiga biz umepiga. We ni mtu bana tumekula noma kwani unasahau breakfast ilikua chai na sembe. Sasa sa zile tunataka kuomoka tukunywe sausage unafanya biashara gani G. Manze umeniacha kwa noma mbaya…ule mse ulihangaika nayeye maisha basic inasemekana jo nlikuwachilia G…waaaah,” Jesse wrote.
“Siku nlikuchukua ushago kama umededi nli ingia kwa mfuko yako…nikapata stop watch…mbna uka duu hvo…yaani unaweka alarm ikuamshe ndo ufanye kitu uliduu na we ni mtu tumekaa kwa shida pamoja huku ata consider watu tumehangaika na wewe ….manze sawa…Friday Buda,” he added.
Jesse had earlier revealed that Rapho was a drug addict, a thing that made him become the black sheep of the family.
