Catherine Kasavuli’s first job ever was as a Continuity Announcer. The person who introduces the upcoming show on a radio or television station.

The job attracted a salary of Ksh 1,500 a month for her work.

Kasavuli is one of the most respected and well-known journalists in Kenya and the world. She is known for her hard work and dedication to her job.

She has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award for her remarkable career.

Early stage highest earning was Ksh 25,000

Catherine Kasavuli’s first biggest payment was Ksh 25,000.

“I once received Ksh 25,000 from a commercial in 1985, which at the time was equivalent to Ksh 2 Million,” said Kasavuli in an interview done many years after.

The commercial was for a local business.

She continues to serve as a newscaster at the Legends’ Edition of the Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation news bulletin.
