Eko Dydda is a well known and respected gospel artiste and recognized both in Kenya and in East Africa and his rapping style is so unique that I think he ought to patent it if he hasn’t already because there is absolutely no one in the world who can pull the Eko Dydda swag.
Getting a little bit personal, Eko Dydda expressed his disgust against tribalism in a recent popular television today and said how he experienced the PEV(Post Election Violence) first hand way back when he was selling ‘mandazi‘ in Mathare North and he wouldn’t want to experience it again. It is evident in his music that the ‘The Ghetto President’ is really against that vice that’s rapidly causing discomfort and nepotism in Kenya and that’s why he chose to name his two boys I Am Blessed and Keep It Real to help curb the tribalism vice because no one would identify their tribe by the name like having names like Maina, Omondi, Wepekhulu, Mueni and Koech.
