He made himself proud, and not just his country of Nigeria but the entire African continent as he won a Grammy Award with his studio album.
The Afrobeats legend who is genetically related with the founder of Afrobeats himself, the one and only Fela Kuti took to social media a couple of days ago expressing his feelings of retiring in the music industry after his global success and music dominance.
Burna Boy who has his mother –the coolest mother yet—as his manager said that he is seriously looking for a person who is so talented just like him maybe who has surpassed him in terms of talent so that he can pass his torch and blessings to him.

Burna Boy has collaborated with some of the upper echelon artistes the world has to offer and he feels like he’s reached the plateau of his career feeling as if he can’t surpass what he’s achieved in the game so far.

He’s so hopeful that he will sooner rather than later meet up with the artiste who will pick up from where he’s left off, it’s only a matter of time.
What Burna Boy, 23, intends to do is easily achievable but it needs patience because already established African artistes like Diamond Platnumz did it with his record label WCB(acronym for Wasafi Classic Baby) where he picked up all the artistes from being nobody people would have given a second thought on them and made them international superstars.
Diamond Platnumz did that with Harmonize who has since left his camp, Rayvanny, Mbosso, Lava Lava, and most recently Zuchu who has made and broken history in the shortest time she’s been in the music industry today.
It’s only a matter of time before Burna Boy reveals the artiste/s he intends to mentor and take over his mantle of being the great of the greatest artistes who have ever lived and roamed this earth and dominated it with nothing but music and sheer charisma.
