This is a painful story about Gladys Jepleting

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

On the 2nd of February 2016, Gladys Jepleting left us to be with his creator. She had been suffering from epilepsy for 8 years which led to brain stroke last year that paralyzed the whole of her left body. This resulted to her being fed with liquid food only using Nasal Gastric Tube (NGT) which was inserted into her throat through the nose.

Doctors in Eldoret referred her to India for specialized treatment last year in June but due to poverty, the family was unable to fly her to India in time. After several fundraising and local arrangements with the Indian hospital, Gladys was flown out on 7th of January 2016 for her treatment.
During the period of her treatment, she showed good signs of improvement and doctors were even optimistic that she would come out victorious.

On the morning of 30th Jan 2016, her condition deteriorated and she was rushed to the ICU. She was never to come out from the ICU again. She gave her last bow at 9.36am on the 2nd Feb 2016.

Gladys is now stuck in India where the family is required to clear an outstanding bill of $11000 which is approximately ksh 1.15m before her body is released.

Due to her family’s financial situation, we are appealing to well wishers to help #BringGladysBackHome by contributing th little they have and sharing this post with friends as many times as possible.

The paybill no. for the donation is 522522 and Account on the paybil is 5173350003472874. the collections will go directly to an account held jointly by the mother and the elder brother.

Be blessed as we engage in this noble course.
