The effects of torrential rains that have been pounding Kenya since late April continue to take its toll on the country’s infrastructure.
We have seen vehicles being carried away, houses submerged and Nakumatt Ukay flooded with rain water, and now a vital bridge has collapsed.
A bridge in Londiani/Kisumu highway collapsed during heavy downpour completely cutting off the two towns.
Affected motorists plying the highway were forced to seek alternative routes to get to their destinations.
