Renowned Tanzanian gospel singer Bonny Mwaitege has dispelled rumors of his untimely demise, following widespread reports that he had been involved in a severe road accident.

The musician, celebrated for his popular tracks such as “Mwema Mwema,” confirmed that he is alive and well, putting an end to the speculation that had caused concern among his fans.

Mwaitege’s wife was quick to address the false claims, speaking to Millard Ayo about her husband’s well-being.

“Bonny Mwaitege is completely healthy. He has just returned from a trip to Kenya and has arrived home safely. He is currently resting,” she said, reassuring the public of his safety.

Additionally, Kamba singer Stephen Kasolo denied the rumors of Mwaitege’s death, emphasizing the malicious intent behind the spread of such misinformation.

“I have confirmed that Bonny Mwaitege is fine. Someone is being used to destroy his name and spread false news. Kenyans should stop posting about him, pray for him, and pray for other musicians too,” Kasolo urged.

Christopher Mwahangila, another prominent gospel singer from Tanzania, also dismissed the rumors as fake news. He called for responsible social media use and cautioned against the spread of unverified information.
