Bobi Wine’s son Solomon Sekayi Kyagulanyi aka Mr Kampala was suspended from St Mary’s College Kisubi for he was caught while in possession of drugs.
St Mary’s College Kisubi suspended Bobi Wine’s son on February 1st, 2022, but news about the suspension was only recently leaked to the press.
The suspension followed a surprise check of all students’ dormitories in mid-January, just two weeks after students had returned to school.
According to the suspension letter dated February 1st, Bobi Wine’s son Solomon was caught with marijuana substance wrapped in papers like cigarette sticks and a lighter in his suitcase on January 17th, 2022.
The school’s disciplinary committee said Sekayi was involved in acts of indiscipline incompatible with his status as a student of the college as proved by the routine search hence the suspension.
“Kyagulanyi Sekayi Solomon is therefore suspended from the college for two weeks with effect from Tuesday, 1st February 2022, basing the resolution to zero tolerance for indiscipline,” the suspension letter read in part.
Bobi Wine’s son had in 2018 been involved in a case of serious misconduct at school but was cautioned by administrators.
St Mary’s College Kisubi is an all-boys boarding secondary school run by brothers of Christian Instruction, the facility is famous for enforcing a high level of discipline among students.
It’s not the first time Bobi Wine’s son is making headlines because of drug use. In May 2021, Solomon recorded himself puffing and huffing on shisha and a big cigar.
Solomon’s smoking habits seem to have been influenced by his father Bobi Wine who is notorious for smoking weed.
During his time as MP for Kyadondo East MP, Bobi Wine passionately defended marijuana use in Parliament.
