ODM has the highest number of renegade legislators who have been lured to the ruling Jubilee coalition with ‘brown envelopes’.
ODM MP for Mathare Constituency, Stephen Kariuki, has also ditched the party that sponsored him to victory during Mathere By-elections.
Mr. Kariuki will be defending his seat on a Jubilee party come 2017 general elections. The young MP is following in the footsteps of his mother, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, who ditched ODM after she failed to clinch Nairobi senatorial seat.
Kariuki started rebelling against ODM immediately after his election victory but it was until recently that he made his stand clear.
