Big Yasa is the new face of drill music in Kenya

2 mins read

Drill music in Kenya is taking shape thanks to rappers like Big Yasa making sure of that.

Big Yasa might be considered a newcomer in the mainstream music scene but he’s been around in the industry to earn his stripes as one of the prospects fitted to take the Kenyan music scene, especially the drill music scene to the next level and make it even bigger.

Big Yasa has worked with some of the top drill artistes in the game like Buruklyn Boyz’s one half member AJay who also happens to be one of the top “drillers” in the country today, so he is constantly, probably on a daily basis surrounded by artistes who are focused on making the Kenyan music scene look good: both in underground and mainstream music arenas.

Big Yasa’s latest song dubbed ‘Mazza’ has surely helped make a name for himself in the music industry as we know it today.

Once you get to listen to the ‘Mazza’ song that features Kombat you’d understand that the Kenyan drill music scene has a place in the international music realm with artistes like Big Yasa holding the mantle.

Big Yasa blowing up

In case you haven’t watched and/or streamed ‘Mazza’, you’re missing out big time but don’t fret, you’ll get to experience what everybody else is fussing about by watching it below:

Big Yasa is certainly not an artiste that you can afford to sleep on, he is way talented with so much to give the music industry to be overlooked and he is only starting out.

It’s about to be a Big Yasa season in 2022 now that the first quarter of the year is behind us, you best be looking forward to Big Yasa making unprecedented moves in the music industry going forward.

I am a Pan-Afrikanist to the core and love to let the world know what they are missing in Africa. I might do that through music and some interesting posts from time to time so please bare with me.

I will always be real though, that's a guarantee.
