Sauti Sol lead singer Bien unforgivingly insulted Eric Omondi whom he described as ‘a clout chasing demon demoralizing young creatives’.
Bien and Eric have been beefing since last year. The genesis of their quarrel is Eric’s unending criticisms of Kenyan musicians whom he claims are lazy, paving way for local music industry to be dominated by foreign artistes.
After having successful shows at the Coast, Bien took to social media and indirectly hit out at Eric Omondi without mentioning his name.
“Back from the long weekend and Man a baldman is feeling grateful. 2 amazing shows back-to-back in a span of 24 hrs. Now, sometimes I want to let things slide but I refuse to let a lazy Clout Demon demoralize young creatives, diminish their progress and discredit anyone standing up for themselves.
“My friends, there’s no subsitute for hardwork. Quality over quantity any day. Don’t let anyone lead you astray for likes, comments, views. Stay the course! Focus on your craft, run your own race.
“Rem, even the algorithm keeps changing … And if all SM platforms were to shutdown today, mtaambia nini watu? 😂,” Bien wrote.
Reacting to Bien’s post, Eric said that he needed to have more shows noting that the move would slowly raise the industry’s rate card.
“This is what I need you to be doing on daily Basis!!! This is now SHOWBIZ. It is simple as the name suggests “SHOW” us and this will slowly raise the Industry’s Rate Cards. You are now becoming a good Disciple,” Eric Omondi commented on Bien’s post.
Bien angrily hit back at Eric, telling him to focus on his business instead. The Sauti Sol singer further challenged the comedian to up his game in the laugh industry.
“@ericomondi what you need to do is focus on your shit. You’re the least funny comedian in Kenya but you don’t see us throwing stones at you. Where is your 1hour Netflix special? When will you make us laugh again?” Bien reponded to Eric in a quick rejoinder.
