Bien has come forward to thwart the claims that he, together with his Nigerian wife, Chiki Kuruka are into an open marriage.
The talented vocalist stressed that his statement was misinterpreted and misconstrued by bloggers and tabloids to gain a few clicks on their websites.
Bien together with his wife who tied the knot last year in March in a hush-hush ceremony said that nothing could be further from the truth reiterating the importance of keeping their relationship private away from the public prying eyes.
What they meant to say was that they support one another in being honest with one another where if either of them has a crush on anyone else they should be open about it and try not to hide it.
“We have this thing where if I ever meet my celebrity crush somewhere and I am in a situation where my celebrity crush wants to “engage in coitus” with me, then so be it and vice versa.
I don’t have a problem with it. If that is what she wants, she should get it. You can’t stop a human being from doing that. But also, I can’t catch feelings, I’m after her happiness.” is what Bien said during a show.
Clearing the air speaking exclusively with The Saturday Standard, the couple said that they are not in an open marriage/relationship but rather they are in an open communication agreement.

They reiterated collectively that their private lives are not open for any public scrutiny at all.
Chiki Kuruka says she’s doesn’t know how Bien’s statement was taken out of context but stating clearly that their relationship is based purely on openness, honesty even if it means speaking openly about their celebrity crushes with each other.
“Bien and I were cracking jokes on Sol Family(the reality TV show), and that’s how a comment was intrepreted. However, we deeply agree with honesty and communication even if that includes lusting over celebs.
How it was blown out of context is what puzzles me,” Chiki Kuruka said.
Kuruka went ahead to state that she believes their private life should remain just that, private and it should remain like that when she was probed about her stand in open relationships and/or where she draws the line when it comes to relationships.
“Open communications? yes. But I also don’t believe our relationship is available for public involvement or entertainment.
We, Bien and I, have always kept a lot of our interactions private, including our wedding. Allowing the public into your private life is unhealthy after a certain point. People should mind their business.” Kuruka said.
