Beverly Munga is a lawyer by profession but she turned her back on the lucrative career to start selling lungula toys.
Beverly Munga who is also known as Hellen Munga studied law in the UK for eight long years and acquired a Master’s degree in Law from Birmingham University in Edgbaston, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
She then returned home to Kenya in hope of getting a job quickly since she was a lawyer.
After years of tarmacking, she lost hope in getting a white-collar job she studied for and decided to venture into business.
Beverly Munga opted to start her own lungula toy business empire after she came back home.
She initially did not plan all this to happen but jumped into the business because finding a job proved difficult and her only option other than starting her own business was to go back to her parent’s house which was not an option at all.
After Beverly started selling lungula toys, to her surprise the business picked up. Lungula being a taboo topic in many African countries especially Kenya, many people discouraged her from venturing into the business but Beverly is reaping big for daring to tap into the business where many wished but were afraid to venture.
The business which is best known for its discreetness to customers when delivering their product to them which they buy online started small a few years back but as of today, it has expanded to Uganda and South Sudan.
G-Spot Kenya which is her company in recent years has proved to be profitable since she now has four employees and makes a profit of Ksh. 150,000 on a bad month and Ksh. 250,000 or more on a good one.
