Bernice Saroni has for the first time addressed speculations about having an illicit affair with Mugithi singer Samidoh.
Samidoh and Bernice were first rumored to have an affair last year when the Mugithi singer went on an extensive tour of the US.
He kicked off his US music tour on October 22, 2022, landing in Boston, Massachusetts where she was picked by Bernice who was with him until end of his tour in November.
Samidoh’s US tour was organized by Bernice Saroni whom the singer was staying with and who also accompanied him everywhere he went.
Speaking during an interview with Obinna when she recently came back to Kenya, Bernice Saroni poured cold water on claims of sleeping with Samidoh.
“We are family, Samidoh is married. I don’t date married men, and I don’t date family. It’s a taboo,” Bernice stated.
It was only early this year that it was revealed that Bernice Saroni and Samidoh are cousins.
Bernice also spoke about the controversy surrounding Samidoh’s visit to her home in the United States, which fueled speculation about their relationship.
“You know Kenyans are very quick to judge. I think Kenya has many ‘side chicks,’ and I think here, people don’t value relationships. So, the moment they see a lady and a man together, they believe what they want to believe. People don’t realize that people also do business, and when Samidoh came to the US, he was there for work. He’s a musician, and it was purely work. I have a 4-bedroom house, and he had his own Airbnb. Why would he stay at my place? That’s the mentality of Kenyans.”
