Gospel musician Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati is one of the highest paid musicians in Kenya. Bahati opened up about how much he charges to perform during an interview with Betty Kyallo on K24’s Up Close.
Bahati told Betty that he charges Ksh 700, 000 to perform for 18 to 25 minutes, his rate card is among the most expensive among Kenyan musicians.
The father of three also opened up about his desire to join politics in the long run. He said that he intends to vie for a political seat in 2037 general elections.
Bahati explained that his decision to venture in politics is driven by the desire to uplift the lives of Kenyans particularly those living in Nairobi’s Eastlands area where he grew up.
It was also during the same interview with Betty Kyallo that Bahati’s wife Diana Marua opened up about her life before meeting the gospel singer.
She revealed that;
“Before I met Bahati I was of the world ile proper. I never used to go to church. My life used to start on Thursday halafu tunamaliza Monday hapo ndio tunatoa high heels. The whole weekend road trips, twende Naivasha, tuingie town ingine turudi,” said Diana Marua.
