Singer Kelvin Bahati and his wife Diana Marua talked about their completely different lifestyles when they met six years ago.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, Diana revealed that she was a lover of luxury while her husband was more involved in church matters.
Bahati revealed that he would even preach to his wife after she went out to have fun at the club.
“When we meet, I used to preach to her,” Bahati said.
He revealed that he used to call Diana often and she would lie to him that she was at the supermarket when she was at the club having fun.
Bahati also talked about how Diana used to chew gum before meeting him so that she could mask the smell of alcohol.
“I used to call her and tell her I want to see her. When she came, I could see she was drunk but she was just… Then she chews and controls herself,” Bahati revealed.
Diana said, “I used to take PK. But to tell you the truth, I was respecting you.”
The mother of three revealed that she did not want to offend Bahati in any way or let her know about her lifestyle.
“I didn’t want him to think that I’m a prostitute,” Diana said.
The mother of three also revealed to her husband was the main reason why she did not settle down with him in the beginning.
She pointed out that when she met the 30-year-old singer he was very holy, which she was not satisfied with.
‘You were Bible, Bible, Bible, Bible. I used to respect you,” Diana said.
Diana also revealed that another reason why she had doubts about marrying Bahati was their age difference.
She said that her original ambition was to marry a man who is older than her.
Diana pointed out that Bahati being three years younger than her made her feel as if they were incompatible.
“The main reason was age. You are three years younger than me. Society believes that as a woman you cannot date someone younger than him. I knew that if I wanted to settle down, I would settle down with someone who is older than me. It is better if he is one year older than me. okay,” Diana Marua told Bahati.
The famous couple were talking about their relationship journey and how they started dating.
Bahati was the one who asked his wife why she didn’t want to settle down with him in the beginning.
“When we started dating, why did you think I couldn’t marry you? And now you are here with my children, I have given you one, two, three, four pregnancies. Why did you feel like I can’t marry you,” Bahati asked his wife.
