Yesterday Babu Owino found himself on wrong path of the law after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a fellow student, he was locked in kilimani police station where he spent the night as the Constitution clearly provides under article 49(f)that an arrested person has the right to be brought before the court as soon as reasonably possible.
This constitutional provision was well observed as Babu was arraigned in kibera Law Courts where he was charged with assault and he vehemently denied the charges.
Babu was released on a cash bail of 100k.
