Babu Owino in a recent interview has opened up about being ready to serve his prison sentence if he’s found guilty by the Court of law.
The Embakasi East Member of Parliament is alleged to have shot popular deejay, DJ Evolve real name Felix Orinda at B Club.
Babu Owino explained that his position can’t influence the outcome of the case and people shouldn’t think that he’s above the law.
Speaking on an exclusive interview with Spice FM, Babu Owino said that he’s more than ready and willing to carry his cross and serve his jail term if he’s found guilty because jails were created for human beings.
“I’m an ordinary citizen, born by ordinary parents way back from the slums who is trying to make also both ends meet. Elected by ordinary people, I was elected from among the ordinary people.
So it’s not about being a Member of Parliament, it is not about my position that can be used to influence anything. The case, the matter is before the Court of Law.
If I’m found guilty, there’s no problem, I’m willing to serve, I have no problem, jails are meant for human beings, I will serve my term, I will live my life, I will carry my own cross,” said Babu Owino on Spice FM’s interview.

“If I’m not also guilty, Kenyans also should accept, I can leave it at that,” added Babu Owino on the Spice FM’s #TheSituationRoom radio show as hosted by Eric Latiff.
