Anita Nderu exchanged her vows with the love of her life, her American fiancè Barrett Raftery on the 9th day of September 2021.

The couple exchanged their vows at a luxury country house at Mukima house in Meru County, everything was magnificent, and probably that might be an understatement.

The location was absolutely magnificent, magnetic and a sight to behold, especially the view of Mount Kenya is a plus.

Close friends and family were present on her special day as she was walked down the aisle by her mother and father(Mr. and Mrs. Kinyanjui Nderu), you could’ve seen Mr. Raftery fighting the urge of shedding a tear of joy as his bride was walking down to him.

The media personality who looked elegantly beautiful in her white dress was supported by her cousin, a renowned and decorated actor Sarah Hassan together with her sister Vanessa Nderu who was a part of the bridesmaid.

Being very close to him, Anita Nderu didn’t forget one of her best friends who has always been in her corner through thick and thin, Duncan Ndirangu was present as well who was a man of honor at her wedding. Ndirangu works at Capital FM where the media personality has worked as a news presenter/ radio host for years.

Without forgetting the groom, Barrett Raftery, he had his sister Heather Raftery as his best woman in the wedding that was officiated by his longtime childhood friend from the United States who is a Rabbi, Vlad Khyakin.

To say the least, the wedding was exquisite and fashionably executed to perfection since everything was classy and precisely as it was intended to be.

The news of Anita Nderu’s ruracio(traditional wedding ceremony) subtly broke the internet especially since it was a hush-hush event. The news lit up social media early this week, a few days after it had already taken place.
