Businesswoman Anerlisa Muigai has identified the individual responsible for leaking her private WhatsApp messages, just a day after disclosing that a friend had betrayed her trust by sharing their private conversation soliciting funds.
Taking to her Instagram stories, the entrepreneur commended modern technology for aiding in the identification of the “snake” in her circle. According to Anerlisa, the individual used a fake account to send an urgent fundraising request to social commentator Cyprian Nyakundi, but their tracks were traced back to them.
“You can play with fake accounts, but you can’t outsmart technology. I’m relieved to have uncovered the identity of the person who leaked my message,” shared the CEO of Nero Water.
She proceeded to caution people against harboring individuals in their lives who feign loyalty but ultimately betray them.
Anerlisa hinted at severing ties with the individual responsible for the breach of trust, emphasizing the need to be discerning about one’s inner circle.
“The person smiling with you could be your Judas. #ChapterClosed,” concluded her post.
A leaked chat revealed allegations against Anerlisa’s fiancé, Josiah Kariuki, the CEO of Silica Booster Limited (SBL), who faced charges on May 6 in the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court for purportedly manufacturing, distributing, and selling substandard fertilizers. Expressing her disappointment, Anerlisa lamented the betrayal by individuals she once considered true friends.
“When you think you have genuine friends, then suddenly, boom. Tomorrow it could be you. At least I know I can’t count on everyone, and that’s okay. And yes, we managed to overcome without your assistance. #GodFirst,” part of her post addressing the issue read.
She shared a post urging people to discern between genuine and fake friendships, highlighting the transient nature of false friendships compared to the steadfastness of true companionship.
