Media personality and author Andrew Kibe has delivered one of his most candid confessions yet, revealing why his two marriages collapsed — and why he has no intention of ever tying the knot again.
Speaking during a sit-down with radio host Jacquey Nyaminde, better known as Wibroda, the outspoken commentator said he has finally accepted a truth he ignored for years: he was never meant to be a married man.
Kibe admitted that, despite trying to settle down, he has always been too free-spirited to live within the expectations and commitments that come with traditional relationships.
“I am too free-spirited to have been a married man,” he said. “I should have known that earlier. I should not have wasted their time and my time getting into relationships.”

He explained that he entered past relationships without the readiness or desire required for long-term commitment — and believes forcing himself into marriages he wasn’t built for only harmed everyone involved.
The former radio host described himself as someone who values freedom above all else, saying he has never understood the pressure to promise exclusivity.
“I don’t like relationships,” he said bluntly. “Why am I committing to you? I don’t like that. I am very clear about my relationships — I do not commit to you, and do not commit to me. We meet, we have a good time.”
His ultra-independent mindset, he admitted, made marriage nearly impossible from the start.
Asked whether he would consider walking down the aisle again after two failed attempts, Kibe responded without hesitation.
“I would never make that mistake again. I would rather die first.”
In another revelation, Kibe disclosed that he has six children with different women, but only two have met him and know him as their father.
“They are six with different babymamas, na wawili wanajua baba yao, and they are very proud of their father,” he said.

While the admission sparked debate online, Kibe appeared unfazed, saying he has made peace with how his life has unfolded.
Kibe’s brutally honest reflection offers a rare glimpse into a man unashamed to reject societal norms in favour of a lifestyle he believes suits him better. Though his views continue to divide opinions, the former broadcaster insists he is finally being true to himself — and won’t be pressured into marriage ever again.
