Jamal Rohosafi’s estranged wife Amira can’t walk at the moment after suffering a pinched nerve which caused numbness on her leg.
A pinched nerve occurs when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues, such as bones, cartilage, muscles or tendons. This pressure can cause pain, tingling, numbness or weakness. A pinched nerve can occur in many areas throughout the body. [sic]
Amira through a post on her social media account revealed that she was forced to cut short her trip in Dubai after suffering a pinched nerve.
The mother of two said at the moment she couldn’t sit down or walk because of the loss of sensation/feeling in a part of her body.
“It’s unfortunate that I had to cut off my trip yesterday I got my nerve pinched on my left leg. I’m experiencing extreme pain and numbness in my left leg I can’t walk or even sit down for now,” she noted.
She described the injury as a herniated disc that had developed years ago that has reoccurred and is limiting her from walking and even sitting down.
“This is caused by a herniated disc which I developed years ago,” she added.
She wrote that she planned to start her physiotherapy in order to recuperate from the sudden illness.
“But once am home I’ll start with my physiotherapy We fall but we rise again Inshallah.”
Herniated disc is a condition which refers to a problem with a rubbery disc between the spinal bones.
This condition occurs when the soft centre of a spinal disc pushes through a crack in the tougher exterior casing.
Some herniated discs cause no symptoms. Others can irritate nearby nerves and result in pain, numbness or weakness in an arm or leg.
Not every disc needs intervention. When required, treatment includes medication, physiotherapy and possibly surgery. [sic]
