Vanillah, who was signed last year to the Kings Music label owned by Alikiba, has come out to accuse Diamond of stealing the beat and melody of his song that he released last year as part of his plan to be signed to Kings Music.

Vanillah through his instastories, wrote that his Chizi dance which has been on social media for several months is the one with the original rhythm and melody that Diamond Platnumz has used in his song released at the end of last week called ‘Yatapita’

“Si mbaya lakini kukopy beat na melody inaonesha jinsi gani huu wimbo unaukubali na kuupenda kaka Asake, Ahsante,” the artist wrote while asking his fans to continue playing his Chizi song with pride.

This is not the first time Diamond has been accused of stealing parts of his fellow artistes’ songs, as a few years ago he was accused of stealing the rhythm of Otile Brown’s Such Kinda Love featuring Jovial.

Also last year there were allegations that the artist stole a song by a Nigerian artist, Asake, and also stole the look of his hair, which made many Swahili people label  ‘Asake wa Tandale’.
