Well, thanks to a recent interview done by Alikiba, we finally get to know about what caused two best of friends to fall out, for years and don’t look eye to eye.

Alikiba and Diamond Platnumz are considered to be the Bongo Flava godfathers despite not working on a project together, their stardom and reputation as top musicians precede them.

Alikiba opened up on his recent radio interview in Tanzania said Diamond Platnumz broke his trust a few years ago when they were working together on a project.

I’m happy his music picked up. He is representing our country. He is very hardworking and sometimes I’m also a fan of good music. I’m not a fan of Diamond but I will say there are some songs he has done very well,

Alikiba once said about Diamond Platnumz.

 

The ‘Dushelele’ hitmaker hinted that Diamond Platnumz only moves to benefit himself and not anybody else deeming him untrustworthy.

The musician who is from Kariokoo, the same place where Diamond Platnumz’s stepfather, Abdul Juma came from acknowledged Diamond’s talent as a musician and how he was the man behind the thought process behind his hit single ‘Single Boy’, a song that features Lady Jaydee and was released back on May 2012.

“There is a time he messed up with me. I used to support every Tanzanian musician. I don’t deny the fact that he sings well.

For those who don’t understand Diamond, they can easily trust him. There was a time he called me when my song ‘Single boy’ leaked. He wanted me to include him in the collabo but I had already done it with Lady Jaydee,” Alikiba recounted.

Alikiba went on to add how Diamond Platnumz lied to the whole world about his part of the ‘Single Boy, Single Girl’ hit song was deleted by Alikiba.

He even called upon KJT, his record producer to bear witness to the truth of Diamond Platnumz not actually being a part of the song as he earlier stated on social media.

“Diamond gave me even the idea of the video. It was fantastic but with me, I decided it to be ‘Single boy, Single girl’ and that’s what I told him.

After a few days, I was shocked to see all over social media that I might have deleted him from my song Single boy.

The truth of the matter is that he wasn’t part of it. My producer KJT is my witness.” Alikiba added.

This is the very first-time Alikiba is talking and opening up about his differences between himself and Diamond Platnumz on a live radio interview.
