Alfred Keter vows to stop DP William Ruto getting votes in Rift Valley in 2022

Alfred Keter, a Member of Parliament for Nandi Hills is focused on making sure that Deputy President William Samoei Ruto doesn’t get the Rift Valley votes in 2022 where is the DP’s hometown.

The outspoken legislator has openly vowed to make sure that he will vote for ODM Party leader Raila Odinga in the Rift Valley region as opposed to campaigning for the Deputy President as the majority leaders in the region are doing.

Speaking on his recent interview on Kass FM on Friday, July 23rd with the host Boaz Kemboi, the legislator who has always been a public critic of the Deputy President categorically stated that he will lead the entire Kalenjin community in voting for Raila Odinga in the upcoming general election to become the next President of the Republic of Kenya.

“I am a Kalenjin, but I will make sure William Samoei Ruto gets no vote from this Region by leading my Community to Raila Odinga. We are tired of tribal Politics and leaders,” Keter said.

Alfred Keter is only one among the notable Kalenjin leaders who are against Deputy President William Ruto. Some of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s allies in the Rift Valley are also politically against DP Ruto.

KANU Chairman and Baringo County Gideon Kipsiele Moi, who is from the Kalenjin community is one of the politicians who are politically opposed to DP Ruto for the longest time ever.

Notable leaders from the Kalenjin who are crucial supporters of President Uhuru Kenyatta include: Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos, MPs Joshua Kutuny (Cherangany), Silas Tiren (Moiben), Swarup Misra (Kesses) and William Chepkut (Anabkoi) as well as Uasin Gishu Senator Margaret Kamar.
