Legendary musician Jose Chameleone has been in and out of hospitals many times since 2015 when he started having issues with his liver and pancreas due to alcoholism.

Following the shocking diagnosis in 2015, doctors advised Chameleone to immediately quit drinking alcohol if he valued his life.

Chameleone’s health deteriorated very fast in 2021 sparking fears he didn’t follow doctors’ advice.  A source close to the singer confirmed that he had been hospitalized in January 2021 after word broke out that he was reportedly bedridden.

The source while speaking to Dembe FM said that Chameleone checked into a hospital in the Seguku area on January 19 2021.

According to the explanation, Chameleone had issues with his liver and pancreas caused by excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages and spirits.

According to additional reports, he had attempted to abstain from alcohol and spirits but was still drinking wine.

In August 2021, Chameleone fell ill again and was admitted at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala.

According to the family, the health of the ‘Badilisha’ hit maker had been deteriorating for a week prior to the hospitalization.

Reports indicated that Chameleone was rushed Seguku Doctors Clinic after his situation got worse. However, after a few hours at the hospital, he asked to be discharged saying he felt better.

Upon returning home, Chameleone’s health quickly deteriorated and was rushed to hospital in the dead of the night.

It was after the health scare in 2021 that Chameleone decided to be serious about steering completely clear of alcohol to save his failing liver and pancreas.
