Akothee has asked for a refund from the Migori county government after she took action to repair one of the roads using money from her own pockets.

The mother of five posted a video that showed her complaining to the contractor she hired for not building a road to the agreed standards.

“Stop being that kind of contractor. This is not a government job, it is money from my pocket. If I give you a contract, you work,” Akothee told the contractor who accompanied him to inspect the road.

The musician complained about several potholes on the road that the contractor had not filled.

In the description of the video, she made it clear that she was proud of the work she had been able to do for the people of Migori county.

“I am so proud of myself, This road is a government’s road , it has been impassable wiry the heavy rains, all my people from this area avoided it and had to look for alternative roads , some parked their cars and used motorbikes with alternative roads , Today they can drive their cars and pass here for free,” she wrote.

She was proud that now the road is at least passable and cars can use it without much trouble. For that, Akothee asked the Migori county government to refund her.

Migori County government should refund my money once the budget for roads is out,” she said.

Akothee is one of the richest artists in Kenya and in the East African region in general. Although his net worth is unknown, it is believed that by now the artist may already be a billionaire.

The mother of five has already built a multi-million mansion in her home area of Rongo, Migori county where she plans to live with her family after retirement.
