AKA speaks on violence against women and calls on men to do something about it

AKA who is not only a successfully rapper but also a successful businessman and a powerful media personality called on to his industry friends and men in general to at least do something about the ongoing violence against women in South Africa.

“If y’all so outraged why don’t you get up off your a**es, go March to radio stations, go to musica’s … go to RISA and demand they take this animal’s music off the playlist, off the shelves, off the TV … but no … you want to tweet and sound woke and sh*t.” one of AKA’s tweets read.

AKA took to twitter to talk about violence against women in the wake of the recent abuse of Kwaito artiste Babes Wodumo real name Bongekile Simelane who suffered in the hands of his boyfriend and fellow Kwaito artiste, Mampintsha who was seen beating up Babes Wodumo on Instagram live.

“SO … I’m going to speak to some of my colleagues in the industry to see how we can actually ORGANIZE & MOBILIZE against this issue. Let’s do something instead of just sitting there with phones in our hands,” he tweeted. “I am also going to challenge YOU to do something about it …. and for you to challenge ANY AND ALL of the celebs who tweeted about this issue this week and ask them …. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?”

In a series of tweets, AKA iterated that men should actually do something about the ongoing violence against women and said that “We gonna put something together as MEN … to unite and take action, whatever action that may be”
