AKA aka the Supa Mega real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes is about to make history in the apparel world by being not only the first African South African rapper to have a major sneaker collaboration with a shoe giant but the very first Africa to ever do it at all.
AKA who has been the brand ambassador for Reebok Classics South Africa for quite some time now wearing nothing but Reebok Classics for years, took to social media to announce the legendary history that saw him design his own signature Reebok Classics kicks together with his brother, Nicky Heat.
AKA’s highly anticipated sneakers collaboration with Reebok Classic is scheduled to be released on October 26th with his fans also known as the Megacy taking to social media to express their interest in buying them.
“Proud to announce that my collaboration with @reebokclassics will drop on October the 26th ” AKA wrote on social media in part.
There’s no doubt that the sneakers which has been dubbed ‘The SneAKA’ is about to take over the African streets by storm, AKA might as well be the African Kanye West in apparel.
“MAJOR CONGRATULATIONS to @reeboksouthafrica and the team for pulling this off … DESIGNED by the FORBES BROTHERS, myself & @nickyheat__ #TheSneAKA 🇿🇦 … From AFRICA, to the WORLD 🌍” he added.
This collaboration is the first ever sneakers collaborations Africa’s rap history, granted, there are other rappers and media personalities like Nasty C and Anatii who are the brand ambassador for Puma, K.O who is the brand ambassador for Asics Tiger and others but none of them have a signature shoe with the brands they are representing.
Just the way he blew up the entertainment scene with his Cruz signature drink, the Watermelon Cruz vodka, AKA is about to own the apparel world with his signature Reebok Classics collaboration sneakers that the Forbes brothers designed.
AKA only shared the photos of the heel tab of the upcoming unnamed AKA x Reebok Classics collab with the left one reading “SUPA” while the right one reading “MEGA” written on top a grey leather.
