AKA can finally take a breather for a while after the successful launch of his fourth and last album ‘Touch My Blood’ after he hosted a listening party for fans to listen to his last album in the game. The event which was successful by the way was graced by his friends and family, even Dj Zinhle and his lovely, gorgeous and beautiful angel of a daughter Kairo Forbes showed up to show support.
That being said, AKA’s fans showed him support majorly by showing up at the signing session in Durban at the Musica MegaStore where he told his fans he will be a few hours before he took a flight there.
” About to get on a plane to DURBAN where I’ll be spending Touch My Blood day tomorrow ❤ …. 14:00 MUSICA GATEWAY!!!! Pull up!!!!” he posted before he went to Durban for the signing session.
With nearly a decade of experience and hits, there’s little debate surrounding AKA’s consistency and crossover potential. On his fourth album Touch My Blood, he continues to shape South African hip-hop. He displays his bona fide lyricism over the stabbing bass and dramatic percussion of “StarSigns”—where he exhorts his fellow SA rappers to take pride in their African heritage. But he can switch lanes and add soulful pop elements, too, like the Auto-Tuned sonics and synth hooks of “Caiphus Song” and the boogie-funk seduction of “Sweet Fire”. ~ editors note reads on the digital Touch My Blood album’s overview.
It seems like everybody wants a piece of Touch My Blood as the physical copies of the album are lined up at the King Shaka International Airport and Supa Mega made sure we all know about the love he is getting everywhere in Mzansi.
AKA was welcome to a warm reception at the Musica MegaStore in Durban, South Africa where a multitude of fans were early waiting for him to show up for the signing session.
Many fans came out to buy their own physical copies of the album and have them signed by Supa Mega and he did just that, he signed the albums. AKA’s ‘Touch My Blood’ is shaking the industry as we know it and creating awareness and making a statement to the rest of the world that South African rappers are the best rappers in the world today.
Here are some of the photos of AKA’s fans lining up to have their physical copy of ‘Touch My Blood’ albums signed and probably take a picture with the ‘Don’t Forget to Pray’ rapper.
