Wanja Mwaura made headlines after she met up with her long term friend Hinga when he was a street urchin addicted to drugs. She made the choice to help him clean up and get his life back up.
Wanja Mwaura took him to Chiromo Lane Medical Center for detoxification(where the bill of Ksh. 149,000 was wavered by the hospital due to social media response to Hinga’s story) before taking him to a rehabilitation.
Good things happens to good people as the rehabilitation center where she took Hinga decided to waive the entire Ksh.300,000 bill that was the cost of the three months that Hinga will be there.
Now, Hinga is due to be out rehab this month on the 28th of January 2018, and Wanja Mwaura opened up a business for her friend, Hinga and paid rent for a place where he will be staying to help him have something to do when he comes off the rehabilitatin center through the money that Kenyans help raise.
