Just a few days ago, Tanzanian hitmaker and Wasafi Classic Baby signed artiste, Rayvanny was attacked by Kenyans who felt that he was supporting the ‘Mihadarati’ hit maker Stivo Simple Boy in jest which he came forward to clear the air after exposing one unnamed Kenyan artiste who didn’t want him to support Stivo Simple Boy because he was allegedly beneath him. It’s safe to say Rayvanny went on ahead to put the unknown Kenyan artiste in his place iterating that he supports Stivo Simple Boy in earnest.
A few days after the pandemonium, the legendary sheng rapper, JuaCali reached out to the Kibera rapper, Stivo Simple Boy -who wants his music to reach out to everyone since he has messages to pass across through them- and even did a video together with the soft spoken artiste singing along to his hit record ‘Mihadarati’.
“Thanks to @juacaligenge the legendary kwa love yako na support. Vijana tuache mihadarati au sio, ndio maanake mzee wa kazi amekubali na kila mtu, asanteni kwa support.” Stivo Simple Boy shared his gratitude via social media for JuaCali supporting him, especially his new music.
Stivo Simple Boy might be receiving different reactions and acknowledgements from the general public about his looks and his music but what makes him stand out from the rest of the fold is the sheer believe of self and accepting himself the way he is and understanding there are things he can do to change about himself and there are also things he cannot change so he lives with them and makes the most out of them.
I have a feeling Stivo Simple Boy is just starting out on his quest to dominate the Kenyan music industry and his latest record ‘Mihadarati’ which predominantly talks to the youth to stop abusing drugs is just the beginning.
