Hollywood star Jamie Foxx has been in hospital for the past one month as his family remains guarded about information concerning his condition.
It is yet to be revealed what Jamie Foxx’s condition is but it seems serious, as reported by TMZ.
The actor was rushed to hospital due to a medical complication while working on his upcoming Netflix feature ‘Back In Action’ alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.
News reports surfaced that the Oscar-winning actor had been hospitalized following a stroke. Jamie Foxx, known for his roles in movies like ‘Ray’, ‘Django Unchained’ among others, was reportedly rushed to a hospital after experiencing chest pain in early April 2023.
Jamie’s family flew in to see him at the hospital where he was getting diagnosed. The medical emergency has had him in the hospital since then.
Since the Hollywood star fell ill, very few details have emerged about his condition.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the actor’s daughter Corinne Foxx said in a statement posted on social media on 12 April.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” she added.
Conflicting accounts of Foxx’s status have emerged during his 30-day-stint in hospital. While most reports have suggested that the actor is recovering, one source told Radar on Tuesday 9 May that his friends and family are “hoping for the best – but preparing for the worst”.
Although family and friends pubilcly say Jamie is “healing” and “feeling the love” from all of his supporters and well wishers, details on the situation have remained under wraps.
Sources told Radar that he “wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK.”
They added that Jamie’s recovery has been “touch and go” and at one stage he “had to be revived” by emergency room physicians who saved his life.
“He is very lucky to be alive!” said the source.
A second insider stated that Jamie Foxx suffers from high blood pressure which can cause clots in the brain and lead to a stroke. Another source shared that the actor’s health crisis was “a long time coming.”
