15 breathtaking photos of Raila Odinga’s swearing-in ceremony at Uhuru Park

Raila Odinga was finally sworn in as the people’s president after postponing the event multiple times. Kenyans thronged Uhuru Park from early morning after police vacated the park.

Police had earlier declared Uhuru Park a no go zone in a bid to stop Raila’s swearing-in ceremony. Police kept vigil at Uhuru Park but surprisingly they left on Tuesday morning as Nasa supporters started streaming in.

Attorney General Githu Muigai warned against swearing in Raila saying it was high treason. The government tried all means to block the ceremony, they even shut down Citizen TV and NTV to stop them from broadcasting live coverage of Raila swearing in.

While Nasa principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula let Raila down by failing to turn up at Uhuru Park, Kenyans didn’t disappoint Baba.
