Petition filed against new Budalangi MP sparks claims Jubilee’s Ababu Namwamba believes August election was rigged

Jubilee maintains that August 8th general election was free and fair while Nasa questioned the credibility of the whole election and even managed to convince the Supreme Court that presidential election was rigged in favor of Uhuru Kenyatta.

A petition filed in Busia court challenging the win of Budalangi MP Raphael Bita Wanjala has sparked claims that Jubilee’s Ababu Namwamba believes August 8th election was rigged.

Surprisingly the petition was not filed by Ababu himself who came second, it was filed by Mercy Achieng Mola and John Ndagwa who are said to have close ties to the Labour party; the party Ababu used to vie for the Budalangi seat.

Wanjala won Budalangi seat with 11, 182 votes which represents 44.06% of the votes cast while Ababu managed to garner 9,795 votes which is 36.95% of votes cast.

If anyone was to challenge Wanjala’s win it had to be Ababu Namwamba, now that is in Jubilee, a party that believes August election was free and fair, he can’t come out and openly challenge Wanjala’s win but would rather use his associates to do it.
