Former Meru governor Peter Munya joined Nasa on September 4th after a meeting with the coalition’s principals at Raila’s Capitol Hill office.

Munya defended his move to join Nasa on the basis that August 8th general election was rigged by Jubilee. He said that he wanted to be in the right side of history, to fight electoral malpractice in Kenya alongside Nasa.

“The journey to realise the Meru and the Kenyan dream continues in earnest. This is the dream they tried to kill by stealing our election victory. We now have all the necessary evidence to prove it.

“I will be going to court in the next few days seeking to overturn the fraudulent Gubernatorial and Senatorial elections in Meru.  I want to be in the right side of history, to fight electoral malpractice in Kenya.

“I have joined NASA as the 6th Principal and I will be working with them moving forward, to ensure that the will of the people is respected and that Kenyans get the leadership that they choose,” wrote Munya.

The former Meru governor has since gone back to Jubilee, Munya explained that he decided to make a u-turn after a thorough consideration with his party members, elders and supporters across the country.
