Nonini gives artiste a very important tip

2 mins read

Nonini who is the director for PRISK(Performers Rights Society of Kenya) which ideally collects and distributes royalties on behalf of performers in Kenya has come forth to tell the musicians who are registered in PRISK and those that are not and those who are upcoming and even the ones who are in the industry to always know their musical right since most of them don’t know anything or anywhere to go soon after they release a single.

According to Nonini, PRISK will hold the hands of an artiste who doesn’t know the ropes and make sure that their interests are catered for.

“Challenges facing artistes is most of them don’t know their rights. hawajui zile rights ziko kwa ngoma zao….msanii anarecord ngoma akitoka studio hajui what rights or where to take their musical works. So at PRISK we try and bridge that gap. We make sure like with the recording labels wanajua what is the procedure…” – Nonini said.

I love everybody who loves everybody, somebody got to love somebody at some point.
Music is something that comes natural to everybody and it's a language that everybody can understand, I understand it and that's why I speak it
fluently, do you.
